The product
What is a setting?
A position on the tie made to take a flower. A tie has one, two or three of them, and that number is what sets its price. A setting left empty does not show.
How does the flower hold?
It is magnetic. It goes on and comes off in one movement, the hold is firm, and nothing pierces the fabric or goes through it. The rest belongs to the workshop.
Does the flower hold all day?
Yes, including while putting on a jacket and sitting down. It takes a deliberate movement to remove it.
Can I wear a flower on another tie?
No. The fastening is specific to LEZARE ties: that is the price of a system that neither pierces nor pinches.
How big are the flowers?
From 3.5 to 8 cm depending on the model. The smallest is the Paquerette, the largest the Péonie Bleu Foncé, which covers three quarters of the width of the blade.
The collection
Can I choose my flowers?
The flowers that come with a tie are always the same. The extra ones, and those in the bouquets, are drawn at random from the fourteen in the garden.
What is the code for?
Every case contains one. Entered in My Flowers, it adds the flower to your garden, which shows what is missing. There is no chip to scan, and the tie wears perfectly well without an account.
What happens if I draw the same flower twice?
You have two copies to wear, and a duplicate. Trading between wearers is being prepared: no date is announced, and we will only announce one when it is reliable.
Will there be other flowers?
This first series is closed at fourteen, and that list will not move: it is what makes a garden completable. There will be others, with no calendar announced.
I am giving a tie: who enters the code?
Whoever receives the flower. The code travels in the case, it is tied to no account until it is entered, and the garden belongs to the person who wears it.
Choosing
Which version should I take if I am unsure?
One setting. A single flower suits almost every occasion, and nothing stops you adding more later with a bouquet.
Do I need to know a size?
No. A tie has none: the length is set at the knot. All three pieces are 148 cm, 10 cm wide, 9 cm for La Mousse.
What is the difference between the two ties on sale?
L’Heure Bleue is silk and cotton, indigo, from 219 euros. Aube brune is pure silk, a very dark brown burgundy, from 259 euros. The blend takes the shine off the silk and creases less; the pure silk has more depth.
Afterwards
How do I care for the silk?
Dry clean, never a machine, no iron directly on the silk. Undo the knot in reverse and let the tie rest for twenty four hours. It is all in Entretenir une cravate en soie, in French.
Can a flower be washed?
It is cleaned, not washed: a soft brush following the stitches, a barely damp cloth, drying flat. Never soak it, never heat it.
Are there any precautions?
Yes, and they matter. Keep out of reach of children under 36 months, keep away from pacemakers and implanted defibrillators, keep away from bank cards and magnetic media, avoid high heat.
